What I Got For Christmas 2014

So today is not only the day that I start my detox it's also the day that I get my blog on and back into the blogging world after a little bit of a Christmas break! I've finally got round to rounding up everything I got for Christmas for my favourite kind of post at this time of year, better late than never right?! I know opinions are split on these kind of posts but personally I love them so here is mine for the nosy buggers like me out there!

No Christmas would be complete without something cosy to wear and I must have looked like I needed some rabbit slippers in my life ending up with two pairs that are equally as cute! I also got the glitteriest boots in the world and Joel got me the Kardashian t shirt that I'd shown him ages ago on Missguided (and to think I thought he never listened to me!) and it has to be the most flatteringly cut t shirt I've ever owned, I just love it for when I'm having a casual day.

I've seen this book popping up on a lot of Instagram feeds over Christmas so I'm guessing that Santa popped this under a few other bloggers trees as well, I've dipped into it a couple of times when I've had chance and have already picked up some really good tips so I would definitely recommend a read if you haven't already and a related present was a bookmark from Joel who is fed up of someone who reads so much having to find a receipt every time they put their book down! I haven't been able to stop listening to Taylor Swift's album since I got it either, my new favourite song ever, ever, ever is Style (sorry Katy Perry, you're still my queen!!)

I can honestly say that I have never smelt so good!! I've got so much pamper material right now and even if I had two baths a day for the rest of the year I don't think I'll get through all of this little lot in time for next Christmas and of course I need my fix of Snow Fairy which my lovely sister made sure I got with this adorable little box of heaven, I loved it so much that I actually bought another one in the sale!

If I've got the most exfoliated, moisturized body in the world my face and hair can't be left out now can it?! I've heard some really good things about Espa but have never tried it before Joel's mum got me a couple of sets for Christmas and I am a convert, this is a facial set and my skin was literally so healthy looking and glowing pretty much straight after I'd finished applying it all. I've also been using the Clinique set daily since I got it and my skin has really cleared up after just a couple of weeks, I've actually seen this in a couple of sales recently so it's definitely worth checking out.

Last but not least are the make up goodies that I got and I think that I'm pretty much sorted from lips to tips with this lot! The Anastasia Beverly Hills and Charlotte Tilbury bits are things that have been on my wish list for months now and I'm so happy to be able to tick them off and get them on my face! The only way that I can describe the two NARS sets are that they are a gift from the makeup gods, one is for cheeks and they other for lips with the perfect combination of colours, I don't think I'm going to need to buy any new lip or cheek products for the rest of the year (yeah right, who am I kidding?!) because these seriously cover all basis.

I must have been very good in 2014 because I have been a very lucky girl this Christmas and love everything that I received, I can't wait for a major pamper sesh and play with my new pretties! If you've done a what I got for Christmas post recently please link me below because I love these posts!

Monthly Favourites | September 2014

September is a long distant memory now but this is better late then never right?! I think every time I've planned to write this post something has happened - on Wednesday me and Joel had planned to go and see Gone girl at half seven so I was ready to blog before we left but then he decided the 6:10 showing would be better... at quarter to six (the film is really good but LONG so even though I did moan about getting bundled into the car in a rush it was a better time but don't tell Joel that) on Thursday I was going to have a pamper night and write some posts up but as I was getting out of the shower I fainted and smacked my head on the towel rail on the way down so that was a night spent waiting for paramedics to come and make sure I wasn't concussed so all these plan changes have been very inconvenient and messed with my blogging time! I am now finally getting that pamper day (and I stayed conscious this time which is a bonus!) so I'm not moving until I have a few posts finished.

Collection 24 Hour Felt Tip Liner

I discovered this eye liner completely by accident trying to make up a Superdrug order so I got free delivery and I think it's the best thing I've found in my life. ever (and that's no exaggeration!) I thought my L'Oreal liner was sent from eyeliner heaven but this blows it out of the water. It's jet black, doesn't dry up quickly, lasts all day, has the perfect tip for smooth lines and flicks and did I mention it's £2.99?!

Maybelline Colour Drama Lip Pencil in In With Coral

I'm suprised there wasn't more of a fuss made for the launch of these diddy little pencils, they just seemed to come from nowhere and were a nightmare to get hold of but thank god I finally did! The shade I've been wearing the most is In With Coral which is a bright shade with a creamy long lasting consistency that dries matte. There are a number of other colours so if coral isn't your thing there's bound to be be something that is.

The Body Shop Honey & Oat 3 in 1 Scrub Mask

I've been using this weekly treatment for a while now and although my skin is going through a horrendous spell at the minute when I've used this and washed it off my skin is so soft and even though I've not found it to help with the blemishes it does brighten up my complexion. 

Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Blusher in Onamatopeacha

I know cream blusher season is coming to a close but a Boots offer has only just brought this little beauty into my life so I can't let go just yet! This applies like a dream, I love the chubby stick type packaging and the brightening peachy shade, I could not recommend this more.

Make up Revolution Candy Queen of Hearts Blusher

Another cheek product that I love to use when I'm having a dull skin day that can perk it right up! This product definitely lives up to the packaging that it comes in and the three shades in the stripes compliment each other beautifully.

Topshop Bow Hair Bobble

I love these little things for when I'm having bad hair days to pop on with a messy bun or a half up half down hairstyle to detract from the greasy mess that lies underneath. They are so cute that I might have to get a little collection on the go!

Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Busher in Onamatopeacha

Sexy Mother Blusher

We might not have seen the sun for a good week or so but cream blushers are very much still a staple of my daily makeup regime and I'm not prepared to let go of them just yet so that's why I've picked up this new little beauty to play with.

There are three shades of Sexy Mother Blusher and Onamatopeacha is the one that I picked, the shade clue is in the name which is also a bit of a mouthful! I love the simple packaging and the lids correspond to the shade so if you've got more than one knocking about in your make up bag you can easily pick up the one that you'r after! They're in a chubby stick form and the product inside is a dome shape twist up pencil which is the perfect size for the apples of your cheeks. I honestly cannot say one bad thing about this, it's so creamy, pigmented and couldn't be easier to apply, I usually pop it on straight from the tube so there's no messy fingers and then blend it out with a stippling brush. I can't complain about the lasting time either and it leaves a lovely healthy glow.

A Little Boots Haul

I walked into Boots with the intention of walking out with a bag full of goodies and that I did! This is just a little show and tell and I'll go into a bit more detail in separate reviews all in due course.

The reason I went on my Boots rampage was for the new Maybelline Colour Drama Lip Pencils and three Boots and a Superdrug later all I came across were empty spaces where they should be or messy testers teasing me, in the end I had to order them online and get them delivered to store (the things we do for beauty!) and Maybelline is 3 for 2 at the minute so that's how many I ended up with! I got the shades, In The Coral, Very Berry and Minimalist.

Soap & Glory are buy one get one half price at the moment so I took the opportunity to get a couple of bits that I've had my eye on for a while. The first was Sexy Mother Blusher in Onamatopeacha, I know that Summer is drawing to a close but I just can't let go of my beloved cream blushers just yet especially this gorgeous orangey peach one. The second Soap & Glory thing I picked up was another cheek product Love at First Blush which is a lovely pink highlighting blush. Another brand that had a buy one get one half price offer on was Barry M and I've been meaning to tear myself away from summer neons and get some Autumny shades. I went for Red Black which I've had before but it got chucked when it went all gloopy and one of the new Gelly shades in Blackberry which is a dark navy shade.

Last but not least I visited the Collection Stand, I was looking for a champagne coloured cream eye pencil and came across the Eye eye Crayon that looks like a new launch, there were another couple of colours but this was exactly what I was looking for. I've picked up and put down the Skin Wow! 3 Way Highlighter so many times but the buy 2 and get a free mascara was that little push that I needed to finally buy it, I just can't beat a freebie!

So that is my little Boots haul, it's a long time since I've had a good splurge in there and I've got a few bits that I've wanted for a long time so I'll keep my wish list building up for my next trip!

Sunday Pamper Session

Sundays are known as the day of rest and I don't know what's more restful than a long soak in the bath and a beautifying session?! I often get those feelings of Monday morning dread on a Sunday night but if I'm going to face a week of work I might as well do it smooth, preened and bronzed!

While the bath is running I get to work on getting rid of every scrap of make up that I can! I've only just recently started using The Body Shop Camomile Eye Makeup Remover instead of makeup wipes (I know, I know - please forgive me for I have sinned!) and this is definitely going to be something that I repurchase, it gets even the stubbornest of mascara off in one swipe and is so gentle around the eye area, there's no stinging or redness that I more often than not get when removing my eye make up, it's love! Once my eyes are bare then I remove what's left on my face with the holy grail that is Bioderma. I don't know about you other long haired lovelies but when I'm in pamper mode there's nothing nicer than scraping your hair off your face and tying it up so once my makeup is off the hair goes up! The final thing I do before jumping in the tub is cover my face in Clarins Pure Melt Cleansing Gel which is like a little magic trick, when you squeeze it out of the tube it's a gel, then it turns into an oil which I massage onto my face and leave on until I'm in the bath and then when I rinse it off it's a cleansing milk! As well as being magic it makes my skin so soft, bright and feeling like it's had a real deep clean.

A bath isn't complete without something from Lush in there with you and I'm usually pretty stocked up with bath bombs and bubble bars so every bath time is a Lush bath time! Once I've been in the bath for a few minutes and my face is steamed and pores are open I apply the Origins Clear Improvement mask (I've done a full review on this here) and leave it to do it's thing while I do the oh so glamorous chore of defuzzing (unless we're in the dead of Winter and I'm growing my winter coat to keep me warm) and exfoliating to get rid of unwanted bits of tan that won't budge and smooth down those areas that need a bit of extra help, at the moment I'm using Soap and Glory The Scrub of Your Life.

When I'm out of the bath and squeaky clean It's time to get my moisturize on, this is definitely one of my least favourite things to do but it's all in the name of silky soft skin! I'm using The Body Shop Coconut Body Milk at the minute and I love it for many, many reasons, the top two being that it's a spray which I find a lot quicker and easier to apply and it has the most gorgeous coconutty smell that I go wild for! Your hands and feet also need some serious TLC and I use this little double act which is Soap and Glory Hand Food and Heel Genius and once I'm smothered I spray myself with Victoria's Secret Coconut passion (Full review here) which is possibly my favourite smell in the world. Ever.

While my moisturizer is sinking in I move onto my face and start with Clarins Gentle Exfoliator Brightening Toner which I haven't been using for too long but the results are amazing, it really brightens your complexion and if you thought you'd already cleansed your skin within an inch of its life there will still be some dirt on the cotton pad, it really does get rid of anything that might dull your skin. An oil is another new addition to my regime and I'm currently using The Body Shop Vitamin E Facial Oil which I started using to try and fade some marks that were left by a couple of breakouts that I'd had and it's really helped with that. Drink Up Intensive (full review here) is my favourite Origins mask and I love putting it on and leaving it to work overnight, it feels so thick and luxurious and leaves your skin hydrated and glowing, I cannot say enough good things about this! They're often forgotten but I try to keep my lips in tip top condition with a Lush Lip Scrub to get rid of any flakey bits and then I slather them in lip balm to keep them smooth and lipstick ready.

 And then there are a few optional steps depending on whether I need it or not. I usually paint my nails a couple of times a week and Sunday has ended up a designated nail painting day but sometimes you're just not ready to let go of a colour or you've been impatient with a new shade and couldn't wait any longer (which happened to me this weekend, something that pretty can't wait!) Another thing is eyebrow maintenance - I try not to touch them too much in between getting them done but having inherited the werewolf gene from my dad they inevitably need a bit of a tidy up so when the strays are getting too much the tweezers come out! My very, very last step before putting my onesie on is tanning which I do a lot more when the sun comes out, if I know I'm going to tan I try to avoid shaving and exfoliating the same day and do it in the shower the day before to avoid the dreaded polka dot skin look.

Monthly Favourites | January 2014

And here was me thinking that January was the month to recuperate after a month of festivities but I've been busier than ever recently meaning that my blogging schedule has been a little bit neglected (so has the hoover and my good intentions to have a proper sort out of all my make up and wardrobe) so here's hoping that February is a bit more chilled and I get a weekend to be a recluse and catch up on everything. This month I've got to have a proper play with everything that I got for Christmas so I have a lot of new products that have made it into my daily routine!

Clarins Beauty Flash Balm

I bagged this in my bargain of a Clarins gift set that I got in the Boots sale and have used it every day since as a primer. This is a cream that claims to 'brighten and tighten' and honestly it is a miracle worker. When you put this on your whole face glows like you've got the perfect highlighter on and although it's moisturizing it's not greasy in the slightest. It leaves the smoothest base for your foundation and now I've dipped my toe into the sea that is Clarins skin care I want more!

Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge (Review here)

If you want fail proof flawless skin then this is what you need. I can't believe that I had my doubts about this little orange sponge and waited months to even try it out. All you do is run it under cold water and ring it out, load it up with your chosen product and bounce it over your face, my foundation has never looked so perfect and even before.

MAC Coral Bliss Lipstick

I was getting in a bit of a rut with Creme Cup as my go to daytime lipstick and wanted something else that was subtle but pretty and work appropriate. This is a Cremesheen finish so it's pretty sheer but there's still a pretty pop of colour. This definitely leans more towards a pink coral and Creme Cup has taken a back seat for the time being!

Lush Popcorn Lip Scrub

Even if my lips were the softest and flake free they'd ever been I think I'll still be reaching for this because it tastes so nice! I've pretty much used this every day since I got it for Christmas and despite the horrible cold weather my lips have yet to crack and flake with is a winter time first for me! This is also perfect to use before you wear a bold lip colour so it's got a nice smooth base to go onto.

NARS Splendor in the Grass Palette

Can we just take a second to admire how pretty this is?! There are three blushes and a highlighter in this palette, Sex Appeal, Angelika, Dolce Vita and Albatross. Dolce Vita is the darkest shade that I haven't used yet because it scares me a little bit but the other two blushes I've been rotating daily and I've already mentally bought a full size Sex Appeal because I don't know how I'll cope when I hit pan! 

Soap and Glory Heel Genius

I had a full size of this from one of the massive S&G gift sets a few Christmases ago and I was really disappointed by it and it ended up getting chucked so I don't know if they've changed the formula but now I've revisited it I really like it! I'm one of those people that hate feet and even though they're horrible things at least mine are soft and hard skin free thanks to Heel Genius!

What I Got For Christmas 2013

I must be so nosey because I absolutely love these kinds of posts and have been hunting them down since Santa made his deliveries! I've had such a lovely Christmas with all of my family and hope that you all have too. I've been an extremely lucky girl this year and am forever grateful for all of my beautiful goodies but maybe not so grateful for the extra inches on my waistline from the chocolates for breakfast and all the buffets instead of proper meals!

It just wouldn't be Christmas without a Soap and Glory gift set and a bit of Lush! I've spent more time in the bath than I have out of it the past few days but if time off work isn't for pampering then when is?! I was so pleased to get my hands on the Origins Mask Marvels because I've been dying to try one of their infamous face masks and now I can try three of them!

My go to perfume is Miss Dior so it's a given that I get a new one every Christmas and Birthday, I dread to think how many of these that I've got through but if it ain't broke don't fix it! I also got the Katy Perry Meow gift set to accompany Purr, I'd never smelt this before but it's sweet and girly so naturally I love it! It also comes with a body lotion and tiny roller ball version of the perfume which is perfect to pop in your bag. To finish off the sweet smelling stuff is this little Yankee Candle in Black Coconut which smells just like Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess, it is absolutely gorgeous and I can't get enough of it.

I am literally the coldest girl in the world so warm snuggly things are always welcome! I've been after a tartan scarf for ages now but couldn't find the perfect one until I spotted this one from Topman and then forgot about it but lo and behold Joel must have been paying attention that day because it ended up under the tree, I can't even tell you how soft it is, I just love it! I also got the cutest bunny rabbit mittens and if they don't keep my hands warm enough there's a hand hottie as well. I think my most used present so far has been the microwavable owl, he's even keeping me warm as I type!

The past few days have been so busy that I haven't even had time to have a play with this little lot yet. I can't even remember how long I've been after a MAC eye shadow quad so I am very excited to have one in my grubby little mitts now! The hours that I spent trying to decide what shades would make the perfect neutral companions - I don't even know how I had time to work and live my life! I got two shades with the quad which are Shroom and All That Glitters and the final two are on the way if Yodel ever stop holding them hostage (they've been out for delivery since Christmas Eve...) I also got two of the most beautiful palettes which are the Bobbi Brown Smokey Warm Eye Palette and NARS Splendor in the Grass, they are gorgeous! I could go on and on about all of my new pretties but I'll save it for the reviews!

I'M GOING TO SEE KATY PERRY!!!!!!!!!! I don't know how I'm going to cope seeing my biggest girl crush in the flesh but I am so, so excited. Joel can no longer moan about me having her album on in the car constantly because he needs to learn all the words now, he didn't think this one through did he?!

There were a few other little bits that I got as well but if it's not been pictured I've either used it, worn it or ate it! I can't believe that's Christmas over with for another year and 2014 is well on the way now.

Countdown to Christmas - 5 Days to go! | Last Minute Gift Guide

The last shopping weekend before Christmas has arrived and if you're like me and working right up until Christmas Eve this might be the last chance you get to grab some last minute presents! I've narrowed it down to some lovely gift sets so if you're elbowing your way through the High Street tomorrow and struggling then this might help you out.

5. Origins is one of my favourite skincare brands and this would be a great starter set for anyone who hasn't discovered them yet and is a complete skincare junkie!

Empties #3 | Repurchase?

Since I've moved out I've been trying to make an effort to actually finish products rather than start using them and then buy something new so abandon them and repeat - it's a viscous circle and this house isn't big enough to contain all my half full beauty products!

Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat
I really do get through my fair share of these which is unfortunate as they're a little on the pricey side but in my opinion completely worth it. I don't think this little gold pen needs explaining but just in case you're not sure it's meant to add some radiance to your skin and adds light to wherever you apply. I really can notice when I've skipped this step in my make up regime.
Repurchase? There's a new one in my make up bag as I type this!

Yves Saint Laurent Volume Effect Faux Cils Mascara
I'd used this once before and never got along with it so when I received this in a gift set at Christmas I was a bit dubious but wanted to give it another go and then I left it gathering dust in a drawer until I came across it again a couple of months ago and I still don't get on with it. I don't know what it is that I don't like but it just doesn't give my eyelashes that oomph that I want!
Repurchase? I gave it a second chance but I am afraid that is was Faux Cils last!

Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish
I am pretty sure that you're all very familiar with Cleanse and Polish! It's basically a holy grail hot cloth cleanser that gets rid of all that grime that gets stuck to your face during our busy days and I really do see such a difference in my skin when I use it religiously, it's so clear and a lot brighter.
Repurchase? Already done!

Nip+Fab Pistachio Sundae
I am heartbroken, I've just gone to link this up and do a little restock because I really do love this body butter so much and it's been discontinued?!?! Say what?!?!?! Nip+Fab did you actually use this and smell how gorgeous it is and feel how smooth you were left no matter how scaley you were?? Obviously not or this would still be available to buy, boohoo!!!
Repurchase? I definitely would if I could but for some inexplicable reason this has been discontinued!

Origins Make A Difference Rejuvenating Cleansing Milk
I can never get all of my make up off, especially eye make up but when I wash my face with this it feels squeaky clean because it melts away all dirt and unwanted panda eyes. I did enjoy using this but I didn't notice that much of a difference to my skin but maybe that's because I never persevered with it enough.
Repurchase? Not at the moment but I would be happy to receive it in a beauty box and give it another go.

Bioderma Sensibo h20
Another product that needs no introduction! I love Bioderma and so does my skin - it's amazing for when you want to get every little trace of slap off and it's so gentle around the eyes that you can really get in there and remove those stubborn bits of mascara and eyeliner.
Repurchase? Hell yeah and I've upgraded from the 250ml to the 500ml!

Tresemme Platinum Strength Shot
I can't even tell you how many of these that I've got through since Glossybox introduced me to these little shots of wonder! I can have the most unruly mane known to man but 60 seconds of this on the mid lengths to the ends of my hair and I can actually get a brush through it. I love this stuff!!
Repurchase? I already have a little stash to make my way through.

Origins Make a Difference Skin Rejuvenating Treatment Lotion 
I really like to use this at the end of the day if my skin is feeling extra grimy to try and give it a little bit more life. It's meant for dry skin and really does help to hydrate it.
Repurchase? Not right now as my skin is more oily than dry at the moment but I'll keep it in mind if the winter dries me out!

Soap and Glory Sugar Crush
If you want super soft skin then this is what you need in your life! It's amazing for getting rid of that last little bit of fake tan that won't budge and I used it on my legs after shaving them to get rid of those pesky ingrown hairs!
Repurchase? I definitely wouldn't turn my nose up at it next time there's a 3 for 2 on.

Vaseline Active Fresh Deodorant 
Don't get me wrong, this does what it says on the tin but I absolutely hate this stuff and only got it because it was on offer! I can't stand the smell of this, I don't know what it is about it that just makes me feel sick, I think I'd rather ditch the deo and embrace the smell than smell of this, I hate it!!
Repurchase? No way.

John Frieda Luxurious Volume Shampoo & Conditioner
When I started using this I really did like it, it made my hair soft and shiny and for the first few weeks there was a bit of lift that wasn't there before but I don't know if my hair just builds up a defence against it because it seems to happen with all the shampoos I use - to start with I'm amazed and then just nothing!
Repurchase? If they were on offer in Boots in the future I probably would give them another whirl.

Beauty Protector Protect and Detangle
I definitely need all the help that I can get in the hair detangling stakes and this worked really way plus it protects from heat, safeguards colour, adds shine and conditions, a lot of little bonuses there! I really like using this and was sad when it ran out especially for it's lovely sweetie-esque smell that was right up my street!
Repurchase? I probably would do but even just looking for a link to this product has proved impossible so I think I'll stick with things that are more easily available for me to get my hands on!

Jelly Pong Pong Fairy Lashes Mascara
I haven't even used this all up but I just needed to get rid of it! It left my lashes clumpy, there was no extra length and it just ended up all flaked down my face. I don't know what it is with me and mascara, my eyelashes seem to be very picky!
Repurchase? Nope!!

So there you have it, everything that I've managed to get through in the past few months and now I have a very empty bottom bedside drawer ready for me to fill it up with empties again!

Monthly Favourites | March 2013

I can't believe that April is only a couple of days away already - hello Birthday month!! I feel like March has been a proper pamper month for me and I've spent most of it covered in bubbles trying to make myself smooth, polished and glowing! This stupid confused weather has completely dried out my poor skin and has brought out all sorts of dry patches so when my skin is feeling thirsty I whack on a layer of Origins Make a Difference Plus + Rejuvenating Treatment overnight (It takes a while to sink in so I find it best as a night time cream) and by the morning my skin has took it all in and the dryness has reduced significantly also leaving my skin noticeably more plump looking. Another thing that has taken a beating this month has been my lips, this Sugar Rose Tinted Lip Treatment is courtesy of a Birchbox and has been my saviour, it smells delicious and leaves lips a nice subtle pink colour as well as being very moisturising and leaving them super soft and crack free. Another beauty box special and bath time favourite is this Monu Warming Aromatic Mask the idea is that you leave this on for 15 minutes after you've cleansed and toned and then wipe it off and reveal beautiful skin, I don't think I've ever seen my complexion so bright, I am definitely without a doubt going to be rebuying this. Soap and Glory The Daily Smooth is my new go to moisturiser (full review here) I love the easy to use tube and the gorgeous smell. I bought Essie Tart Deco because I thought spring was on its way and this was a perfect spring shade, I couldn't have been more wrong about the weather but even the snow hasn't stopped me from wearing this for most of the month, it's a one coat formula that seems to be indestructible! Last but certainly not least is my number one product of the month Benefit Fine One One (full review here) I feel like I owe my newly found cheekbones and a lot more to benefit for coming up with this product! Cheeks, lips, highlighting, contouring, tinting, need I say more?!

Soap and Glory, The Daily Smooth Body Butter £8.50

You might recognise this from my haul a couple of weeks ago, who can resist Soap and Glory on 3 for 2? In my opinion you can never have too many body butters and I absolutely love that this comes in a tube. I much prefer body lotions like this because I feel like I have more control over how much I use and they seem to last for a lot longer than a tub would. I'm a bit of a sucker for anything that smells even a tiny bit like vanilla and as this is one of the notes of this scent I just love it. I can't fault the stuff, as well as the packaging and smell it absorbs well and leaves you feeling as soft as a dogs ear (The softest things in the world. Ever. FACT!) I've just had a lovely soak in the bath and I've smothered myself in this so if you want to smell as delicious as I do now get yourself down to Boots!!

I feel like I've been a bit slack on the old blogging front recently but everything has all of a sudden gone a bit full on with work, finding a house and packing up Joel's flat! We thought that we'd found the perfect house and after paying all the admin fees, filling out all the forms and getting excited the landlord refused to let to us because we'd never lived together before, grrrr!! There is another place on the horizon but it's not all gone through yet so I'm not going to get my heart set on it until everything is definite (Okay, okay, my heart is already set on in and the house warming bbq is as good as planned) So we're keeping our fingers crossed!

A Little Bit of a Haul! | ASOS, Boots, Bath & Unwind, Ebay & Debenhams

I'm starting to think that my official job title should be 'bargain hunter' as I don't think any of this wasn't discounted or part of an offer. Why spend more than you have too?! I haven't used any of these yet but I just wanted to show you what I've been spending my pennies on recently and a sneak peek of a few things that will be coming up on here soon.

I got a £2 off Essie voucher from Boots in the post a while back that's due to expire this week so I took a trip to Boots solely to spend that but my will power isn't that strong and as well as Tart Deco I came out with a few Soap and Glory bits too. They're on 3 for 2 at the minute so I got a Sugar Crush Body Scrub (Nearly got the shower gel too but decided to be sensible as I'm still using up my Christmas smellies stash) The Daily Smooth body butter, Glad Hair Day intensive conditioner and Hand Maid antibacterial gel (I work handling money so hopefully this will make it a little less gross!).

Did anyone else get the 25% off everything Email from ASOS last week? If you ignored that then you're a better person than I am! I'd been eyeing up Fine One One and this NARS eyeshadow duo in Kuala Lumpur for a while now and I knew all it would take for me to get my debit card out was a discount code and good old ASOS produced the goods!

The MAC lipstick you can see is the one I've been coveting for months...CANDY YUM YUM! It was like fate, Debenhams finally had it in stock and a 10% off beauty offer on at the same time, how could I pass that up?!

Bath & Unwind isn't a website that I use a lot but I bought some Minnie Mouse OPI nail varnishes from there last year and they operate a points system and I think I had something like £1.16 to redeem so that was the little push I needed to order the Euro Centrale mini collection (These are in an upcoming wish list post but the postman beat me too it)

And last but not least the little gold ring is an Ebay special at 99p, I just thought it was cute, it says love on it and reminded me of the Dior Oui ring!
